Friday Puzzle #6
I'm out of town today and tomorrow (no OAPC 7 and no BANG 24 for me) which has limited my ability to write new puzzles although I remain determined to learn how to construct Numberlinks sometime soon. So, I'm pulling out another "extra" puzzle from some of my sudoku book writing that I already know solves alright. onigame and I explored a ton of geometries with these "3D"-like puzzles but this one is just a jigsaw variant on the most common cubic shape.

Instructions: Place the digits 1 to 8 into each cell so that in each row/column (wrapping around the faces of the cube) and each bold-outlined region the digits appear once each.

The contest was originally supposed to be tomorrow (3rd Saturday and all that) but has been pushed a week later to July 25th. Not sure why, but you can still compete.

Hadn't noticed that (saw the instructions and tomorrow's date on Monday and it hasn't been on my mind since). Thanks for the note. Still sad to be missing BANG 24 though given my many days watching the source material.

After the last couple of Fridays, I am relieved to say that I solved this without much trouble.

Pretty - Simple
Very simple puzzle, but human and pretty. I was able to give it to my 12 year old and know that I was sharing a nice attractive teaser and one that was simply well-constructed.
